The Factory at Franklin’s lead developer has unveiled new design plans and renderings ahead of the renovation project’s construction start this week.
Allen Arender, who leads the local office of Indiana-based Holladay Properties, told Nashville Business Journal that the historical site is set for 80,000 square feet of retail (which will include both longtime and yet-to-be-announced tenants), 80,000 square feet of dining, 80,000 square feet of office and 30,000 square feet of event and theater space.
The city has already approved those specifications, which have not been announced publicly until now, he said.
Most of the project — which was unveiled in October following Holladay Properties’ $56 million land buy — is still in the design phase.
But one of the Factory’s large components, the “Grand Hall,” will break ground this week and likely open around the end of this year or early next year, Arender said. A general contractor has not been formally selected yet, he said.
