405 Broadway is one of the very few pieces of vacant property located in the iconic Lower Broadway section of downtown Nashville. A very small site surrounded by three historic buildings, in a Historic Overlay and Redevelopment District, the site had many challenges to development.
The design consists of a 5-story honky tonk centered around the career of a renowned music artist. Roof decks on both 4th and Broadway set the building back to reduce the scale along both streets. The materiality creates entry features and signage that will be unique along this stretch of lower Broadway. The interior includes multiple catwalks for viewing world class music performances, a large 3 story open space along the Broadway façade, and spaces that allow for events to occur simultaneously as a music performance.
