The Wildhorse Saloon is a well known entertainment venue situated along 2nd Avenue North in the heart of downtown. Although many think the building is historic, it was actually an infill project constructed in 1994 for Gaylord Entertainment to help revitalize the Second Avenue district. It is nicely situated adjacent to the activity of Broadway but with a panoramic view of the Cumberland River at its backside.
This existing 66,000 sf live music venue had extensive renovation into a 5-story branded honkytonk featuring the renowned country singer Luke Combs. As part of the project scope, an additional floor level was added on top of the existing building structure to create an all new rooftop venue that took advantage of those Cumberland River views. Down below, a large opening was cut between floors to create a new 2 story honkytonk experience with live music that spills out onto 2nd Avenue. The venue, with a final count of 8 bars and 3 stages, also includes a sportsbook, a VIP lounge, and renovation of their current 3 story atrium & large performance stage.
