Peabody + Hermitage AirBnB is located in the heart of Sobro on what used to house several small restaurants.
The site itself is irregular in shape and slopes in multiple directions, so only a truly unique structure and program is suited for it. The lower two stories (of six) will activate the street with branded retail and restaurant users all centered around an outdoor courtyard connecting to Hermitage Avenue. The outdoor spaces are key to the brand identity of the groups that will occupy the building.
The second level restaurant will engage with a large patio over the courtyard and a balcony overlooking downtown Nashville. Garage doors and operable partitions will help bring the outdoors in. This space includes a recording studio, stage, and event space to serve the many demonstrations the client wishes to have. A large planter wraps the entire second level to brand the entity’s love of the outdoors.
Upper levels include 33 rental suits with balconies overlooking the river and downtown. The sixth story contains three penthouse hospitality suites with private roof decks overlooking Ascend Amphitheater.
